Holistic Design in the Renovation of Old Buildings:Office Building Renovation of Encyclopedia of China Publishing House
Abstract: The purpose of this project is to explore how, by adopting a holistic design method, to remodel an existing building with limited funds, solving both internal and external issues(function, space, pipeline, facade, cultural preservation, etc.) in one full sweep. While meeting this building's functional needs, it is also our attempt to ensure that its cultural inheritance is adequately represented.
