Abstract: The Seismic Performance Grade(Simplified method) in 2021 edition of the JSCA performance-based seismic design manual with conventional static analyses is applies to low-and mid-rise building design. This chapter describes how the criteria and the scope of application are defined. Clarify the evaluation criteria required to set the performance, and explain the background.
