集致空间

作者简介:陈毅强, 厦门中福元建筑设计研究院-福建省建筑设计院厦门分院副院长, 福建青年建筑师协会副会长, 国家一级注册建筑师, 英国建筑联盟学院建筑学硕士。从业以来, 完成了不同类型的建成项目, 并获得各种奖项。主要担纲完成了“福建客家建筑的传承和创新”的课题研究, 并在研究的基础上完成了福建客家祭祠主轴、宁化客家美食文化艺术村、福建客家博物馆等项目。担任英国建筑联盟学院2015北京访校导师、华侨大学研究生实践导师。致力于基于计算技术的设计方法, 包括生成设计 (Generative Design) 与基于设计最优化 (Performative Architecture) 的研究与实践, 并倡导设计原型 (Prototype) 研究与实践相结合的设计模式。

   集致空间位于厦门沙坡尾艺术西区。沙坡尾在厦门历史上是一处渔港, 但随着港口的禁渔, 逐渐成为一个富有活力的新艺术聚集地, 是年轻人与游客喜爱的兼具历史文脉与新文化的场所。艺术西区所在地原是港口荒废的渔业厂房区, 集致空间即是利用其中一处厂房空间改造而成。

   集致空间是一个手艺集合空间, 包含手作体验、手工艺品展示、手作活动及休息辅助区。原空间是一个矩形开敞空间, 面积近200m2, 改造目标是在空间中合理划分出不同的功能区, 同时各区相互渗透, 让顾客能自然流畅地穿行其间, 沉浸在手作体验、艺术品展示等不同场景相互交织而成的浓厚艺术氛围中。空间入口位于角部, 流畅的参观流线重塑了空间的二维矩形边界, 而各分区的“隔”与视线的“透”共同定义了空间的第三个维度。轻质的膜结构从空间的角部入口开始延展于空间中, 既是空间的分隔, 又引导着观者的流线与视线。膜结构随着空间变化着截面, 由入口接待区带状的空间背景开始, 逐渐伸展至体验区半人高的空间隔断, 再拉伸至空间高度围合出手艺活动区。翻转变化的膜结构构筑出一个流线型的空间, 鼓励观者去体验感受。木制的展架顺应膜结构穿插其间, 与膜结构相互映衬。

   空间运用数字设计与数字建构相结合的方式完成, 两者在实现过程中密不可分。通过参数化模型能够更加便利和自由地探索非线性的形式与空间, 更重要的是数字设计结合数字建构, 不仅是最后高质量建造实施的必然, 而且两者相辅相成构成了一个综合且完整的设计方法, 进而研究形式、空间实现、材料特性和最终的建造过程。这使得设计是在空间与功能配置、物理条件与使用行为、材料特性和建造手段的共同考量中产生的, 呈现出一个真正独具潜力的完整设计方法。膜结构为钢骨架外覆膜材料, 是一种张拉结构。膜材料在外凸与内凹的形式下呈现的材料特性, 及内部框架疏密对形式的流畅性与饱满度的影响, 均需在设计中考虑。通过电脑数字模型模拟出膜结构的材料物理特性与最终效果, 并通过不同的设计参数调节用以确定较优的实际效果。钢框架运用三轴金属CNC进行加工, 根据加工特点将数字模型生成构件。在设计各阶段快速制作相同材料的成比例及足尺寸模型, 用于研究材料特性、制作工艺及效果。木结构由机械臂加工的木质构件组装而成。六轴机械臂突破了平面式CNC加工的局限, 可在各种角度对木材进行切削加工, 精确制作出异型的板材及榫卯节点, 为设计提供了更多可能性。最终的数字化配件模型由数字化加工设备 (CNC和机械臂) 加工成实物构件, 在现场进行装配, 实现了快速且高精度的建造。现场的拼装过程仅耗时两天, 节省了巨大的时间与人力成本, 实现了低成本营建。

   Integrated Space is located in the Shapowei Art District of Xiamen.Shapowei was a fishing port in Xiamen’s history.However, with the fishing ban in the port, a new art gathering place has gradually formed since the beginning of the new century.It has become a dynamic place with both historical context and new culture which is loved by young people and tourists.Shapowei Art District used to be an area with abandoned fishing factories, and the Integrated Space was built and transformed from one of the factory spaces.

   Integrated Space is a collective space including areas for handcraft experience, craft art exhibition, craft events, rest and supplement and so on.The main entrance of the space is at the corner.The intended fluent circulation transforms the two dimensional rectangular boundary of the space.And the requirements of vision connection of the different function areas define the third dimension of the space design.The light weight membrane structure starts from the entrance, stretching into the space.It divides and encloses the space, at the same time guides the audience and their views to pass into and out of it.The surface of the membrane undulates constantly according to the space.It begins as a strip-like reception background, and gradually changes into a partition wall of half a person height, then stretches out to enclose the full height of the room.The wooden shelf for exhibition fits in with the membrane, while its color contrasts with it vividly.

   Space is accomplished using the method of digital design combined with digital fabrication, both of which are inseparable during the whole process.It presents a truly unique potential for integrated design that enables the simultaneous conceptual manipulation of spatial-configurational, physical behavioral and material-constructional aspects of design¹.The fabric shell is a kind of tensile structure, which is made of steel frames covered with membrane.A digital simulation of the membrane structure has been adopted to simulate the physical properties and final effects of the material.During the design process, scaled and real size models have been fabricated using the same digital equipment for the final construction such as the tri-axial metal CNC for the making of steel frames.The wood structure is assembled by the components machined by the robot arms.It took only two days to assemble all the assemblies on site with low cost, high efficiency and good qualities.
