赋形于力——工程师洛朗·奈伊和他的结构设计

摘要:近年来,洛朗·奈伊(LaurentNey,简称奈伊)以富有表现力的桥梁和建筑结构得到了建筑界的关注。他的作品既具有简洁有力的外形,又与场地文脉息息相关。这不仅是因为他和团队使用了先进的结构优化和建造加工的技术,更得益于他高度整合的设计思路。结构的形态综合了多方面的考量,其中单个结构元素又在力学上同时解决多个问题。这套以高度复合的内部拓扑关系生成简洁形态的设计方法被奈伊概括为“赋形于力”(ShapingForces)。通过对奈伊设计方法的介绍和一系列作品的梳理,探究了隐含在他作品背后的设计理念,讨论了奈伊对技术的态度以及对当下建筑创作的启示。

Shaping Forces:Structural Engineer Laurent Ney and His Structure Design

Abstract: In recent years, Laurent Ney has gained widely concern in the field of architecture for expressive bridges and building structures design. His works are not only concise and powerful, but also tightly bound to the site and context. This is due to his highly integrated design approach and to the use of advanced structural optimization and construction techniques by his team. The form of structure is the result of the combination of various factors, and a single structural element can solve many mechanical problems. This design strategy, which is based on the highly complex internal topological relationship, is summarized by Ney as "Shaping Forces". Based on the introduction of Ney's design methods and a series of works, this paper explores the concept behind his works, and discusses his attitude towards technology and the enlightenment to the present architecture design.
